Little Aiman arrived at the Stone Town hospital when she was only 18 days old. She was born with spina bifida associated with myelomeningocele in the lower back. We were able to alleviate the infection with an antibiotic treatment and performed a reconstructive surgery on this girl, who barely measured 40 centimeters. Unfortunately, within a few days and while Aiman was recovering with her mother, the wound became infected. After a new and complicated intervention, finally she improved. The newborn astonished us all with her resistance!
